Position Details: DB Admin TSQL MySQL

Description:

The Database Administrator will support the Voltron data platforms by ensuring availability, performance, and operational stability of SQL Server (TSQL) and MySQL databases across production and non-production environments. The role is part of a 24x7 support model aligned to defined SLAs. Key Responsibilities: - Perform day-to-day administration of SQL Server and MySQL databases - Execute database patching, upgrades, backups, restores, and refreshes - Monitor database health, performance, storage, and availability - Troubleshoot incidents and service requests within SLA - Support planned changes and releases following change management processes - Maintain operational documentation and runbooks - Collaborate with application, Azure, and data engineering teams during incidents - 24x7 environment/shifts with additional financial incentives Must-Have Skills: SQL Server (TSQL) administration, MySQL administration, Backup & recovery strategies, Performance monitoring and tuning, Incident and change management (ITIL-aligned), Production environment support. Nice-to-Have: Azure SQL / Azure SQL VM, Azure monitoring tools, PowerShell or Bash scripting, Data pipelines / reporting platforms exposure.
