About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Mobile App Developer to join our team on a six-month contract. This role focuses on building and enhancing a modern social application, utilizing Flutter to create a high-performance, intuitive, and visually engaging mobile experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing consumer-facing social applications, understanding both technical and UX considerations for highly interactive mobile platforms.

What You'll Do

• Develop high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
• Build responsive, scalable, and maintainable front-end architectures.
• Translate Figma and UI/UX designs into polished mobile interfaces.
• Develop social networking features including user profiles, social feeds, comments, likes and reactions, direct messaging, notifications, media uploads, and user discovery/search.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work closely with backend engineers to optimize API performance and user experience.
• Ensure excellent application performance across Android and iOS devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI, performance, and usability issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.
• Write clean, well-documented, reusable, and testable code.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of professional mobile application development.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial Flutter development.
• Strong proficiency in Dart.
• Demonstrable experience building and launching consumer-facing social or community applications.
• Strong understanding of Flutter state management approaches (Bloc, Riverpod, Provider, or equivalent).
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Experience implementing authentication flows (OAuth, Firebase Authentication, JWT).
• Experience with Firebase services, including Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Crashlytics.
• Strong knowledge of responsive mobile UI design.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Passionate about creating exceptional mobile user experiences, self-motivated and comfortable working remotely, detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, and a proactive problem solver.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
