DuckDB Database Administrator | Remote (India) | B2B Contract (ref. #004)

We're looking for a DuckDB DBA to support analytical and data processing workloads within the Voltron ecosystem. You'll focus on performance, reliability, and operational support of DuckDB-based components integrated with data pipelines and reporting tools. We're hiring across two seniority bands — mid-level (3–5 years) and senior (5–10 years).

What you'll do:

• Support DuckDB environments used in analytics and reporting workflows
• Monitor performance, query execution, and data refresh cycles to ensure reliability
• Execute operational tasks including upgrades, configuration changes, and fixes
• Troubleshoot data and performance issues in collaboration with data engineers
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities within defined SLAs
• Maintain operational documentation and contribute to runbooks for DuckDB-based components

What we're looking for:

• 3–5 years (mid-level) or 5–10 years (senior) of professional experience supporting data platforms in production
• Hands-on experience with DuckDB — usage or operational support in a production or near-production context
• Strong SQL skills with a focus on analytical query optimization
• Familiarity with incident and change management processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively with data engineering teams
• Strong English communication — working with cross-functional and distributed teams

Nice to have:

• Python proficiency for scripting, automation, or data tasks
• Experience integrating with Databricks or Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Exposure to BI or analytics platforms
• Broader familiarity with the Azure data ecosystem
